Winter 2018

This cup is too short to drink from. What should I use it for? This box was actually turned from an old cherry dresser leg. It's really tough to carve out the inside! The lighter wood is some maple I found inside the dresser leg being used as a spacer. The image was made with a laser cutter. The box is made from poplar, but I don't know about the accent wood.
Trying my hand at pottery.

Glassblowing is only for undergrads during winters at IAP, but I kept myself busy learning to make pottery and spending time on the lathe. The box was a (very) belated christmas present for a friend, but I included it here in the winter collection since my intention was to finish on time ;) These pieces were made at the MIT SAA Ceramics Studio and the MIT Hobby Shop.
